Asma Alshehhi wasn’t your typical university graduate. Sure, her graphic design degree equipped her with technical skills, but her true passion burned much brighter – a love for art and the boundless potential of creative expression. Even as a child, she reveled in the world of colors, shapes, and imagination. This wasn’t just a passing fancy but a fire that never flickered.
Years later, that same unwavering passion for the arts took a new form. Asma dreamt of a space where artistic flames could be ignited, nurtured, and encouraged. This dream manifested as Al Ibdaa Art Center – a living testament to her desire to share the knowledge and skills she had honed.
“Al Ibdaa” is an Arabic word that translates beautifully to “creation.” It’s a fitting name for a center envisioned as a breeding ground for creating artistic exploration. One can almost imagine Asma, her eyes alight with purpose, fostering a community where aspiring artists of all ages and backgrounds can discover their unique voices and translate their visions onto canvas, clay, or any medium that speaks to their soul.

About Al Ibdaa Art Center
Founded in July of 2023, Al Ibdaa is a blossoming center in the art community of Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates. It was founded by Asma Alshehhi, passionate about imparting her skills and knowledge in the arts and creativity to all ages, young and adults alike. She carefully selects the course instructors for the center with the following criteria: a genuine passion for the arts, their experience, their skills, and the ability to help students develop their artistic talents. It is a must that they match equally the passion for creativity and imagination of its founder.
Al Ibdaa Art Center’s primary goal is to create a learning atmosphere that will promote a learning experience in a fun environment. The center is in the heart of the cultural Emirate, Ras Al Khaimah. Currently, the courses are only some of the full array of art courses the center’s management intends to provide. Still, more courses are being developed, including more traditional (Emirati) arts and crafts, as Al Ibdaa believes the heritage of traditional arts and crafts is slowly disappearing in the country. On the other hand, Al Ibdaa is also embracing the future; in the works are drawing courses using Artificial Intelligence (AI) and keeping up with the changing times of the future of development and prosperity.
